COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM

Caroline Education and Community Based Tourism Cooperative is a collective economic organization that operates under a cooperative business model. It serves as a platform that connects local households to jointly develop community-based tourism, offering visitors authentic local cultural experiences. At the same time, the cooperative creates sustainable value for the local community by supporting livelihoods, while promoting environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources.

We have 6 years of experience in organizing English language classes combined with life skills programs for children in Phu Yen Province.
We have 6 years of experience in organizing cultural experience tours for international families visiting Vietnam.
Our international volunteer team is experienced in running summer camps and educational programs, and is highly enthusiastic, dedicated, and responsible.
Our cooperative consists of over 70 community members who are fully engaged in providing diverse services, including homestay accommodation, cultural experience activities, transportation services, food and beverage, tour guiding, local product development, yoga, and healthcare services...
In 2025, we successfully organized three Summer Camp programs for teenagers aged 10 to 18 from different provinces and cities across Vietnam, which received highly positive feedback and evaluations.
Over the past three years, we have implemented a community-based tourism project associated with the conservation of the Hon Yen coral reef, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam

In contrast to many other tourism organizations in the region, Caroline focuses on leveraging the values of local culture. We recognize that every rural community possesses its own unique strengths, and when these strengths are effectively developed, people can achieve a happier and more sustainable life in their own hometowns, without the need to migrate to big cities for employment. We believe that the most valuable source of pride and confidence for Vietnamese people lies in our distinctive and diverse local culture.

Over many years, we have worked closely with local communities to involve them in tourism activities. They continue their traditional occupations while sharing their work, hometown, and daily lives with visitors in a simple and authentic manner. Tourists are welcomed as familiar guests, engaging in warm conversations with local people. Through this model, Caroline not only provides new livelihood opportunities for the community but also brings joy and emotional fulfillment to the local residents.
